Cooper

Okay, so I love everything about this set!  I had the name Cooper picked out if Lauren had been a boy.  The aqua/gray/orange color combination is one of my all time favorites.  It's always so fresh!  I also love polka dots and chevron.  Oh, my goodness!

This is going to be absolutely adorable above the crib!

I had never seen this quote before, but it is so sweet!  I also love the layout.

I can just picture both of these pieces in Cooper's nursery.  Thank you so much for this wonderful order!  Enjoy!

Back To Reality...

We've been thoroughly enjoying our fall break!  It's so nice to have the week off with the kids.  We have gone to Perdido Key, Florida for the past few years and love it.  It's a really small town and there's nothing to do but go to the beach and relax.  Just what the doctor ordered!

I have a few paintings that I just haven't gotten around to sharing.  This one was shipped out a few weeks ago to one of my favorite customers!  I remember this song.  She asked for neutrals with a touch of crimson.  I think it turned out really pretty.

The masterpiece painting is the matching one to a sister piece that I did a long time ago.  I think it's sweet that little brother wanted one, too!

This zebra and hot pink print is a teacher canvas that went all the way to Texas!

This orange, white, and light blue canvas was ordered by a teacher friend for her niece's birthday.  She the ultimate Tennessee Vols fan!  I think the chevron background with the circle center is so cute!

While I am home from Florida, I am preparing for Pumpkinfest.  It is this coming Saturday!!!  That's soon and I've got a ton to do.  I'll be taking orders again on October 27.  Be getting those holiday lists ready!

Birth Announcement Canvas

Here's a new spin on an old favorite!  Emily Lucado asked for an 8x24 in grays and navy blue to go with a vintage airplane nursery - how cool!  Notice the way the stripes inside the frame are opposite those outside the frame.

She wanted the name and the birth announcement information on the canvas.  I had to work the traditional design a bit to get it all on there.  I ended up using a box to separate the information.  I love how it turned out!

It's clean and simple, but still has all those nice little details like dashes around the border and lots of highlighting.  Thank you so much for the order, Emily!  Enjoy!

Sweet Baby Boy

Here's four really pieces designed for a rustic baby boy nursery.  I've got a picture somewhere of the bedding that was so cute.  It has the alphabet in the blue, yellow, brown and green along with some animals representing a few of the letters.  It's adorable!

I did this large 12x24 to hang over the crib.  I love the font!  Bethany Gregorich requested the burlap ribbon, too.

These two 5x5's feature the green that is on the trim of the big one and a couple of the animals from the quilt.  The burlap was too big so I used twine for these.

 

Finally, Bethany also wanted this quote.  I used more yellow on this one with the blue and green again for accents.  The lettering brings in the brown and the burlap ribbon ties it all together.

Baby Boys

New customer April Payne liked the birth announcement canvas design that I have available on etsy.  She wanted to make a few changes to make it perfect for her son's nursery.  She requested the light blue and sage green argyle on the top canvas and the stripes on the bottom canvas.

Instead of the name at the top, she wanted a fancy monogram - which I think turned out sooo pretty!  Since these are done in a little larger size (11x14 and 8x10) I was able to put the name on the bottom canvas like wanted as well.  I just love this one!

Believe it or not, this one is for a completely different nursery.  I just happened to have these two orders using exactly the same colors during the same week.  Isn't this just the sweetest quote for a nursery?

Adorable Aliens

I've done moons, stars, planets, rockets, and planes.  I've never painted aliens before - much less polka dot and chevron ones!  I can now mark that off the list!  I don't know what the bedding and such that goes with this set of three 8x10's looks like, but I can just picture the cutest space themed room.

Kristin Green sent me some alien photos for inspiration and I took it from there.  I think these will look great hanging together on little Ridge's wall.  Thank you so much and congrats on the new baby!

Faithe

This promise from the parents to the child is one of the sweetest and most important things that I paint.  I am blessed enough to be able to paint it over and over again.  Children need all of these things, and they need to hear it.  What better way to remind them, and yourself, of the promises you make to them.

You Just Can't Get Enough Dots!

Is there such a thing as too may polka dots?  I think not!  I painted this red, white, and blue 8x10 and it was snapped up as an end of the year teacher gift.  I really like the personalization that was added!  It's more for the teacher's team than just the individual teacher.

These dots were an etsy order that shipped out a while back.  I am just now getting around to posting some older orders!  The navy blue, lime green, and chocolate brown are so pretty together.

I love this quote and paint it quite often.  My favorite part is that the child's name is inserted in the last line.  So special.

Out In Space

I haven't gotten the opportunity to paint a space themed canvas in a while.  I love doing them and am always so happy to have the opportunity.

You can imagine how thrilled I was when this order all the way from Australia came across my desk.  Theodore's mom had lots of great ideas and was specific about the colors.  She made it so easy for me!

I think it turned out fabulous and will be perfect in Theodore's nursery!

Superhero

One of my very best customers, Rachel Harvey, ordered these two super sweet verses for her boys' rooms.  They are a beautiful navy blue with white and khaki writing.

 

She wanted them matching and one for each room.  I did one horizontally and one vertically just to make them a tad different.  This is such a wonderful thought...I love it!

Christopher Robin

This quote in chocolate brown over a lavender patterned background custom design to match a baby girl's nursery.

This is one of my most popular designs - it never seems to get old.  It's just a beautiful thought.

Owl and Fox

Here's an adorable set for a baby boy's nursery.  I love that all four can be hung together in a grouping or separately as needed.

Here's the two 4x12's that feature a Bible verse and a quote that the mother chose.  They have both been slightly distressed to go with the rustic feel of the bedding.

 

This bedding is so cute!  I love all of the different patterns and the earth tones.  All of the little animals are really precious, too.

There was a lot to choose from but the owl and the fox were requested for the two 5x5's.  I think they match really well.

Jackson

This really pretty 16x20 canvas is so classic and just plain pretty.  The colors are so nice and calming.  The argyle just adds the perfect touch of masculine.

The chocolate brown name stands out over the background pattern.  I also love the ticking along the stripes.

Here's a pic of the bedding that it was designed to match.  I think it is going to look soooo good in that room!

Liam

New customer, Amy White, ordered this 12x24 canvas for a baby shower.  She asked for colors to match the bedding pictured below.  She also asked that I be sure to use the orange in the giraffe.  I have to admit that I am not a big fan of orange, but it is so perfect here that I could just about change my mind!

I love doing this design with the dots around the outside and then stripes in the middle.  However, this bedding had the yellow chevron.  I decided to substitute that for my usual stripes.  Look how great it turned out!  I love it and I love this color combination.  It's so calming and that chocolate brown name just pops!

Here's the sweet bedding that was the inspiration.  It's from Target and I know I say this almost every single time, but if I were having a baby boy any time soon...it's just so cute!  That gator cracks me up!

Yellowy Goodness!

It's almost spring time!  My favorite color changes all of the time, but yellow is always right up there at the top.  Always has been.  It is just the perfect color for spring!

It was always yellow and baby pink.  And then I did a lot of yellow and lime.  All of those were pretty, but the yellow and gray combination is so fresh and modern.  I love it!  Pair that color combo with chevron, and it is a match made in heaven!

This one was ordered to match a baby shower invitation.  It was going to be used on the table as decoration and then on to the nursery.  I love that idea - so smart!  Thank you so much for the order, Whitney!

This yellow is a little paler but still oh so pretty!  It is paired with navy blue and light blue - along with that gorgeous gray.  This one was painted for a third brother.  Click here and here to see the other two matching ones.  I saw that pic of baby Carter that you sent me when he was born - how sweet!!!  Congrats on the new baby, Laura!
