I am blogging a little early this morning because today is my first day back to work. I will be in in-service at 8:00! The entries will still end at 8:00 tonight. Anywho...
I am so loving today’s giveaway! It is absolutely perfect for this cold weather we’ve been having. The featured blogger is my longtime friend, Susan Burks, at Susan B. Designs. Susan has been married for ten years to Matt. Her work halted when they had baby Theo in March 2009, who was born with a heart defect requiring two procedures and three surgeries including open heart when he was only seven months old.
The whole family was in Vanderbilt a total of thirty-five days on three different occasions. They stayed at the Ronald McDonald house when they couldn't stay in the room with him. Susan is now the director of the Snow Princess Pageants and donates every penny to the Ronald McDonald House of Nashville. She says that it is her way of giving back after they gave so much to her during a time of need.

Susan used to manage a clothing boutique and had a business contact/friend in Texas who got her started in the rhinestone business. She says simply, “I make things sparkle”. She does custom rhinestone names, business logos, or whatever the client wants. I personally love the baby gowns. They make the best gifts! Susan is always looking for new fresh ideas and is hoping to have the time this year to work on few, even though she loves the job of being mommy and is putting family first.
What Susan loves most about the job is collaborating with her good friend, Tabetha Sullens, on what they can come up with next. Susan’s favorite shirt has to be the grandma custom shirts. She loves all the cute names “grannys” have! Susan also says that the hardest thing for her is trying to capture with pictures how pretty and beautiful her work is and it honestly makes her really bad at keeping her blog all caught up! She is right, the photos do not do her work justice.
When you comment today, you are entered to win a scarf like the ones pictured, but Susan will add custom rhinestones! That’s right…you just pick whatever letter in whatever font and color. I love it! Enter as many times as you like today and best of luck to you all!
