Ringing in the New Year Right - Giveaway 1

Here it is! The first in a series of fabulous giveaways to celebrate this fabulous New Year! I hope you have planned to visit today and to check back every day. I have so many talented ladies with interesting stories, beautiful pictures, and did I mention the fabulous giveaways? Let’s get started…

Kelly Roberts at Creative Concepts has the honor of being the first. Creative Concepts is a very appropriate name for her blog because this girl covers it all from cooking to painting to jewelry making. As she puts it, she has "Crafting A.D.H.D"! With all of this and her two wonderful little girls, Reagan age 9 ½, and Shelby age 8, and a very loving and supportive husband of 13 years, Darrell, I don’t know how she does it!

Kelly always had a love for arts and crafts from an early age. She can remember, before she even started school, making carnations from party streamers, embroidering, and of course the first project for most crafters...pot holders. This is a woman after my own heart! Her hobbies turned into a business this year after a couple of successful craft fairs, lots of orders for hand painted Christmas ornaments and art, and several requests for art lessons.

Starting in 2010 she is going to offer crafting classes for small groups in their homes. It will be similar to the "Sips and Strokes" classes. She will bring everything needed to complete a project to your home, ready to be completed by you and your guests. This is a great for friends, kids parties, and company team building exercises. I love this idea! I hope my principal sees this and thinks of inservice…I’m just saying! Kelly also hopes to venture into stained glass this year.

Kelly says that her favorite part of the job is “creating something that I didn’t think was possible”. I love that statement and understand that feeling. Kelly is excited for the new year, meeting new people, and the opportunity to teach others how to make something they never thought was possible. She wants to help people tap into their creative side and obtain a sense of pride from their creation....and have lots of fun with friends all at the same time. Look for Kelly at the craft fairs...and keep an eye on her blog for lots of new stuff in 2010!!!!
