Randomness...

I've got tons of Christmas orders (and before!) to share with you all.  I've got a few here and there that don't really fit in with any others to create a complete blog post.  Here's one of those "random" posts to get a few of those painting out there!  

How about something for you Alabama fans?  I personally am ready for all of this bowl nonsense to be over.  I've had my fill of football for the year!

This little 6x9 design has been very popular, especially on etsy.  I actually painted it several times, but am just sharing one.  They all looked exactly the same!

This 10x10 was ordered as a Christmas gift.  It's perfect for all of you dog lovers.  I am a cat person!

Here's some pretty pink paisleys on a lavender background.  This 10x10 is so sweet for a little girl's room.  I love the name over the initial.

Finally, a 4x12 canvas for a lake house.  The distressing and burlap ribbon add to the rustic look and make it the perfect fit for the lake.  I love this size and these colors...I might need one of these for my entryway!

Could I Be More Random?

Some of these are new and some of these I've been holding on to for a while.  I can't seem to find the right time to post them, so I am posting them all at once!  That works, right?  

This first set of three shipped out to Lindsey Chambers to go in a blue and yellow duck themed bathroom for the kids.  They turned out so cute and will look great hanging together.

This cute little 8x10 is for Elaine Alsup, who works with my husband, to hang in her office.  Apparently, she like to talk to herself but has a good reason!  I love this one!

This Kenny Chesney quote is a favorite and shipped out to Kentucky a while back.  This is a little larger version at 16x20.

Two of these UT canvases shipped out to a set of sisters who are proud graduates.  The other was a local order for a fan.  Either way, this canvas is perfect for anyone who loves their orange and white!

Whew!  I got all of that posted!  I've been painting like crazy and now I'm ready for some Fall Break!

 

Time Flies...

Has it really been over a week since I last posted?  Where does the time go?

 

I've been busier than usual (if you can believe that!) and blogging is one of those things that fell by the wayside.  I hate it when that happens, but I've not had time to sit in front of the computer and paint or put my thoughts together in a while.

 

I just finished this really cute sports canvas and shipped it out last week.  It is designed the match the PBK bedding that you can see by clicking here.  It was requested for the forest green in that example to be switched to navy blue.  This canvas has a lot of steps and takes a while to complete, but I am always so happy with the results.

The big news at our house is that Carter started playing elementary school basketball!  

 

The kids both attend and I teach at Centertown Elementary School so we are all Warriors!  Carter has played in the Upward League for a couple of years, but this preseason tournament was his "professional" debut.

 

They ended up winning by two points in overtime.  I could barely teach today from the sore throat that I had as a result.  We get to do it all again on Thursday night.  I am looking forward to this season!

 

There's my son giving me a little look after their big win.  To me, he is still my little boy and in my mind he's small.  He looks so big on the court!

 

Way to go, Warriors!

Early Birds

I think this is so funny!  Shonda Wanamaker ordered a black and white 16x20 of this quote for her teenage son's room.  A reminder, maybe?  I know my (almost) teenage boy is no early bird and could usually care less if he catches the worm or not!  Haha!

She asked for it to be distressed and I love how it turned out!  Thank you, Shonda!

This Saturday we were a bunch of early birds.  If you know us, you know that I am a night owl married to an early bird...not always the best combination.  My little early bird has also gotten into running and forced us to do signed us all up for the Titans 5K.   Now Lauren is awfully little so she ran the kids' half mile and I ran with her.  You need to know that I had to train just to run that!

Here's Mike and Carter at the start line.  Mike finished with a 10:08 average mile and Carter with an 11:03.  I am so proud of them both!  I thought my heart was going to burst with pride watching them cross that finish line.

Lauren and I had some time to kill around the stadium while we were waiting for them to finish!

That's me in the home stretch on the field!  That little orange dot in front of me is Lauren.  It was exciting to run through the same tunnel that the players do and then get to see yourself on the big screen!

And finally our first family run day is over.  We went and did a few visits and errands then came home and showered and collapsed!  Whew!

For The UT Fan...

How about some orange and white?  I was sent all of these University of Tennessee words and asked to put them all on one canvas.  It took quite a bit of rearranging - and rearranging again - to get it all the way I wanted!  

I think it turned out pretty darn cute in the end.  I'd love to see it done for other schools as well.  Of course, you would have to send me all of your words, too!

Boys and My Girl

My girl is a girly girl. She like to read each night all propped up in my bed. She loves her baby doll, Abigail. Now they have all of these adorable "dress like your doll" clothes. I found this purple flannel gown set at Khol's. It was on sale and they always have great coupons! I thought I'd share because I think this would make a great Christmas gift for the girly girls in your life!

Now for the boys! Pamela in Texas ordered two football themed canvases for her two grandsons. I think they will look awesome hanging together! I love the bold stripes.

Go 'Dores!

We went to the Vandy season opener this weekend. Mike and Carter have had season tickets, but this year there was a really good deal to upgrade to a family four pack. Mike surprised us with a hotel room for the night followed by a day of Labor Day sale shopping. Today I am painting, cleaning, and recovering! We really did have a good time!


Here's father and son pregame. Don't they look like big Mike and little Mike? We went to our favorite downtown Nashville place for dinner, San Antonio Taco Company (SatCo). Oh my goodness, it was good! There were a lot of pre-gamers there. Can you tell there was also live music?
















We were early enough to see the band and cheerleader line up for the "star walk". It was very exciting to see all of the players and coached enter the stadium. Everyone was so fired up!






































The kids loved the game and, for the most part, we very well behaved. Vandy won with several touchdowns, which meant several opportunities to do the touchdown dance...
