What's Going On

What's been going on? To start with, my SITS day finally came! There's an extremely long waiting list to be a featured blogger. My day came and there I was with no internet access. I didn't get to do a special SITS day post. Oh, well! You can see my feature by clicking here. I have so enjoyed going through and reading all of the positive comments. It truly does give support and I appreciate it. I am hoping to give all of you a return visit!

Right now I am on a little belated anniversary trip with the hubs. We are enjoying a few gorgeous days in the North Georgia mountains. Here's a shot of the adorable downtown area of Blue Ridge, Georgia. Yes, I have a fifty bagillion things I need to be doing. They'll be there when I get back!

I did these a while back for my bestest customer ever, Rachel Harvey. This one has never been more true for me than it is now. My beautiful new house looks like an absolute disaster area! However, we are trying to take the decorating/unpacking process slow and enjoy each moment. We don't plan to move again and I want to really make it special.

Love! Even though I am away from my babies right now, they have my heart!

Because of the move, I am not painting right now and have limited internet access. Please be patient with me. If you have sent me an email, I may not have gotten it yet and will reply as soon as I can. If you have placed a canvas order and it is not getting done quickly enough for you, please contact me to cancel your order. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding!

Prayer

If there's one thing I need to do right now it's pray. My family is going through some pretty big changes and hitting some pretty big milestones. Nothing bad, just lots of decisions. I pray every night for help in making the right choices. It's hard to do it on your own and comforting to know that you don't have to.

We all know that worry is a wasted effort. Every time I feel like worrying, I say a little prayer instead. I think this is the perfect reminder to turn it all over to God. As simple as that sounds, it is really hard to do.
I hope this always brings you happiness, Tiffany! Thank you so much!

Baby Boys

I've done two brown, cream, and blue birth announcements in the past month. Same colors...totally different looks. I love that they are both for boys. I don't get to paint for them very often!

This is a 6x9 canvas on top with a smaller 5x5 canvas attached at the bottom. You fill in all of the important information. A sharpie writes great on this sealed surface.

Here's the whole thing all together - it is so cute! They look great in the hospital and then in the nursery. This makes a great shower gift and personal keepsake.

So sweet! I just love painting for new babies!

Family Tree

I am sitting here tonight feeling pretty satisfied. I had some Sara Lee chocolate cheesecake. Our new cat, Billie, is curled up purring against me. Lauren is snoozing away in my bed since Mike and Carter are at the basketball game.

I have worked so hard the past several days on the new house that it feels good just to sit. Every muscle in my body is sore, but that's okay. Our big move day is planned for Saturday and I want everything to be ready.

I will be so happy when we are all settled into our new home. I am ready to nest!

I love this family tree that I did for Megan Frazier. I had never read the verse around the outside and just fell in love with it. She chose these colors and they are so pretty together. This would look beautiful anywhere in your home!
Now I am throwing in one more load of laundry (new towels!) before sleeping like a log. Good night!

I'm off to continue moving!

Our Anniversary

Tomorrow is my fifteen year wedding anniversary! I love anniversaries and always want mine to be special. Sometimes we get busy and need to be reminded to take time out for each other. This year we are waiting until Spring Break to do just that. We've got a beautiful cabin (with a chef!) to ourselves for a couple of days just to rest and relax. I cannot tell you how much I am looking foward to it!

Here's my favorite shot from our wedding day. It was so chilly and we were just outside for a few pictures. Not like today!

We were dating when we went to our first Vanderbilt game. We look so young!

Here's a recent picture proving that we still love having fun with each other. He really is my best friend and I am honored to have been by his side for fifteen years. Here's to many, many more!

Surf's Up!

Here's two 10x10's custom designed to match some really cute surfboard bedding. I love that this is not in what what I would consider traditional "beach colors". The navy blue makes it look so much for masculine.

I think they will be adorable hanging together and give the room just what it needs to be all pulled together. I'd love to see some pictures (hint, hint)!

Hey There, Sailor!

Tabetha Sullens ordered this super sweet set of four 8x10's for her sister-in-law's baby shower. I love the nautical there and am so happy with how they turned out!

All of the little lines, dots, and dashes compliment the simple colors. The shades of blue with the little pop of red are just so pretty. I know they look so good on the nursery wall. Thank you so much, Tabetha!

Moving Madness

All of the paperwork is now complete! As of tomorrow, our moving process officially begins. The painters and carpet cleaners are going to be working over the next few days to get the new place move in ready. We are overwhelmed but incredibly excited. This is a big deal for us!

I had not planned to stop taking orders. However, I've had a bit of "order explosion" lately and am feeling the pressure of keeping up. All of my painting supplies are being packed up over the weekend and I'm not sure when they will be unpacked and organized again.
I know you all hate to wait. I hate to make you wait. For this reason, there is a hold on orders until further notice. Thank you so much for your interest and understanding. Keep checking the blog - I still have TONS of stuff to share!

Lots of Dots - Bathroom Edition

I've been painting lots of dots - especially for the bathroom - lately! I decided just to post all of these recent ones together.

This color scheme goes with the PBK set with an alligator bath mat. It is just too cute!

This set is in all blues and a touch of light green. This one matches a PBK shower curtain that is all stripes. The dots will look so good with that!

Here's the whole set - I love this design and it is always so much fun to paint!

This set is a little different because it is a set of 10x10's instead of the usual 5x5. This is perfect if you have a larger wall space to cover. This is also a completely different colors scheme. I love these earth tones! Just proof that this set looks fabulous in any color!

Now, aren't you thinking that you need a little something for your bathroom?

Baby Boy

Such a sweet little poem for a new baby boy! I love the way his name in incorporated in the wording.

This is an 11x14, which costs $30, and was done in the requested colors of cream, chocolate brown, sage green, and pale blue. This would work in lots of color combinations and just about any size. I am taking orders, but my production time right now is running at about a month.

Spring Training

I've never been a sports person. Never. I met my husband, who is a sports nut, and played along while we were dating. I learned quite a bit and have developed a bit of appreciation for all sports. I went to events to eat and people watch. It's just not my thing.
Then this boy came along. I will go anywhere, anytime to watch him. He loves all sports but baseball is the highlight of his year. Possibly of his life. He's not the best player, but he's my player.
He had a practice tonight and I went for a while. It felt good to see him out there, go for a walk, watch Lauren run wild, and slip back into ball park mode!

All of this sports talk is leading up to a canvas!

Little Nehemiah must be a sports nut, too.

His mom ordered this 8x24 for his bedroom and I think it is just so "boy". I love it! She ordered one a while back for his brother and wanted this one to coordinate but not be exactly the same. This is so cute for brothers! Thank you so much, Tissan!
