I have a few 18M rompers available for custom painting and personalization. They work great for a boy or a girl and can be painted in any theme.
This one is already painted with a cute little starfish, an octopus, and a few fish. Perfect for the beach this summer! All it needs is a name, monogram, or a short quote and what a great gift you've got! All rompers are $25.00.

Hippie Chic
Lacy Pack redeemed a gift certificate she won in a beauty pageant for a canvas for her dorm room as she heads to college this fall.
She sent me what has to be the most unusual color combination I have been asked to do so far. Her bedding and room accessories are sage green, lavender, and black tie dyed. I had to ask her to send me a photo!
The photo helped me visualize and look closely at the tie dye. Tie dye is actually very difficult to paint. It is very blended and irregular and it has a certain feel that is hard to capture. Anyway, it does compliment the bedding! I also chose this new kind of hippie chic font for her name.
I hope Lacy loves it and has a wonderful, successful college experience! Best of luck!

Peter Pan
My whole family went to see Peter Pan at the Cumberland County Playhouse a couple of weekends ago. It was Ashley's birthday so we planned a fun evening out. It was such a good show! We are already picking a date to go see Beauty and the Beast which is coming this summer.
The part that my children like the most is getting to meet some of the characters after the play. They come out into the lobby and talk with audience members and sign autographs. Here is Peter giving Lauren and Carter some pixie dust. We also go to meet Wendy and some of the lost boys.
Lauren especially like Peter. She hung onto every word...and the pixie dust.

Kitchen Duty
Renee Burch purchased a gift certificate that I donated for the Irving College 8th grade trip fundraiser. She chose to have something pretty made to match her kitchen. She sent me a paint sample for her unusual wall color. It is this really nice dark aqua blue. Her cabinets are white and she commented on how much she liked the one I did for baby Channing. I used the white and blue to make the diamond pattern. I think it looks so clean and modern...love it!
On another kitchen note, I attempted the chicken scampi recipe that Tabetha posted a while back. I got almost through it when I realized I didn't have any cornstarch. Yikes! I substituted a little four and it seemed to work out. Here is Carter giving his seal of approval!

Addie's Shirt
I did this special little t-shirt for my niece, Addie Martin, who turned seven this month. I used flowers, paisley, and some funky colors! I wanted it to look a little more "big girl" than what I usually do.
I used it as a sample at the craft show and got lots of compliments on it. It seems that I am not the only one who likes paisley!
I had several adults ask about painting on shirts for them. I am happy to paint on clothes for women, but I would like for you to supply the shirt. That way you get the fit you like. Just make sure you buy a shirt that does not have stain guard - the paint won't stick!
I do still have plain tees available in S (6/8), M (8/10), and L (12/14) that are ready for your colorful ideas and personalization!

Walk Power Walk
My weight loss has hit a "plateau" as a doctor would put it. It don't think it has plateaued, I think it has stopped completely. It had to do with the cold weather, the holidays, the shorter days, and, let's face it, my waning commitment. I am doing my best now to get back on the wagon. Girls, it is hard! I think it is the hardest thing I have ever done.
I don't usually push products, but I really like the Leslie Sansone Power Walk DVD's. They are good to do when you can't get away, which is several nights a week for me. I have been doing them so much lately that my kids have joined in. They hear the opening bars of music and run to get their stretchy bands. Thank goodness they came in a pack of three!
I have added the weight loss ticker at the bottom of the site. I am going to weigh myself every Monday and record the difference. I am also writing down what I eat each day. Being the visual person that I am, this really helps me.
I don't know what your goals are, but now you know mine. Let's all encourage each other to work hard to meet them. Sometimes a kind or positive word from someone can make all of the difference. The reward will be sweeter than any dessert!

For the Couple
Newlywed Tiffany Sadlon ordered this pretty canvas for her home. She actually found the design she wanted in some clip art and sent it over to me. She did the hard part in all of the designing...all I did was lay down some paint!
Anyway, it turned out really sweet. It is a perfect gift for any couple, new or old.

The Fashion Show
Our whole family helped Emily out on her first internship project, the Health Fair fashion show. Carter, Lauren, Ashley, and Ian were models. I was roped into emceeing, which I actually enjoyed. There is power in holding the microphone! Carter got into it and worked the stage. My little diva, however, basically looked like a deer in the headlights.
Ashley at Ashley's Attic, sent me this photo of her in her sweet dress with matching doll. I didn't get to take any pictures. I bet the grandmothers have got me covered!

Holly's Flowers
One of my very favorite people, Miss Holly Hodges, ordered a special canvas for her Nana who is in the hospital. Holly tells me that Nana's pride and joy is her flower garden. She has been a little down lately because she is not able to be at home working in them.
Holly was so thoughtful to request a canvas with a bouquet of spring flowers for Nana's room to cheer her up. She specifically asked for butterfly bush, one of my favorites, too! We also chose this sweet quote, "A garden of love grows in a grandmother's heart".
Get well soon, Nana!

Art Class
I had my second beginner's painting class a couple of Saturdays ago. The focus was on Georgia O'Keefe and her flower series. I thought that would be appropriate for this time of the year. Georgia did some really beautiful work.
Here is my mother-in-law hard at work on her pansy. She did a great job on it. Learning how to blend the colors properly is not an easy skill to master!
I'll keep you all posted on our next session. You can also check Chole's link for updated schedules for classes for you and your children, contact info, and prices.

Dresses Just in Time for Summer!
I have these two adorable little dresses ready for personalization and delivery. A dress personalized with a name, monogram, or even a short quote would make a perfect birthday gift. Get LeAnn to make you a bow to match and you are good to go! The black one is a 4T (Lauren has her eye on it already!) and the royal blue one is a 3T.
I have 18M rompers and several sizes of short sleeve t-shirts that are available. They will be posted soon!

Savor the Memories
Wonderful new customer, Andrea Freeze, wanted something special for her kitchen. She was concerned because her kitchen really didn't have a "theme". She just had neutral colors. She also wanted something other than a canvas to put on an easel with some black and white photographs. Sounds like my kind of kitchen!
We came up with this pretty design on a wooden plate. The beige background goes well with the sage green and khaki pattern. Also, there is no theme! It would go with anything!
She came up with the phrase...love it! I do have two other plates primed and ready to go. They are $25 each.
p.s. I snuck one of our wedding pics in there:)!

Chaos and a Craft Show
The Mansfields have been one crazy busy family lately. Here is a sampling of our week: Monday - Mike's computer class, Tuesday - Carter's ball practice, Wednesday - dinner at church, Thursday - my TTU class in Tullahoma, Friday - Lauren's pageant and craft show set up, Saturday - craft show and Mike's baseball draft, Sunday - church and my niece's birthday party in Nashville, and today we start all over again. Let's not even add in haircuts, grocery shopping, exercise, faculty meetings, and so on. Whew! Where did spring break go?
Amid all of this organized chaos, I had a very nice Saturday spent at the Bobby Ray craft show. I met a lot new people, but several faces with names, sold some canvases, and took some orders.
In the photo above, only the 8x24 pink with chocolate diamonds and the 8x10 UT Vols are still available. They are ready for immediate personalization and delivery. Just let me know if you need them!

Beauty Queen
Lauren's Aunt Emily has made quite the impact on her. After going to see her in all of her pageants, Lauren really wanted to do one. I think all of the sequins got to her! Me, being all practical, said no because she is so young. Mike's school, Irving College, had a very small fundraiser pageant. We caved and said okay to that one. Lauren got second runner up in her age group. Most importantly, she felt like queen for a day.
Here is our little princess getting flowers from her daddy. Notice that she also got a tiara from her Gen.

Bobby Ray Arts and Crafts Show
This is our second attempt at an Arts and Crafts Show at Bobby Ray. It snowed on our last date and we had to postpone it. We have rescheduled for this Saturday, April 5, from 10:00-4:00. It is in the gym...rain or shine!
There are almost 50 vendors signed up with a wide variety of items to look through. We will also have a concession stand, inflatables, games, and theme baskets that are up for silent auction.
I will be there all day! If nothing else, come by and visit with me. I've got a good giveaway, too!

Kylan's Monkey
Sheila Boyd (check out her blog if you haven't already!) ordered this funny little monkey canvas for a friend of hers who just had a baby boy. The nursery was done in yellow and sage green with monkeys. That sounds so cute!
Check out my new Forsythia buds. Between those and the Bradford Pears, things are lookin' awfully pretty. I love this time of the year!

Little Lady
Kendice Panter ordered this cute pink and chocolate striped canvas with a ladybug. It is a gift for little Maddison Grace Ellis, a very pretty name. It was custom made to match the photo of the bedding she sent me. Love it with that wide chocolate satin ribbon!
